SOURCES OF AFLATOXIN IN FOODS

1.Aflatoxins are produced by moulds which are fungi that infects cereals at the field,on transit or in storage.

2.Humans are exposed to aflatoxins from consuming contaminated plant products such as maize and nuts and by consuming meat or dairy products from animals that ate contaminated feeds.

To reduced aflatoxins exposure  discard mouldy.shriveled or discolored grains.

only buy grains and cereals from major brands that were tested and approved  by the Kenya Bureau Of Standard(KEBS)
